The Thumb Spin

This is a different method of spinning a club in your hand, possibly requiring less dexterity than the previous one, but in my opinion it doesn't look as good. Hold the club as you would hold a pencil, i.e. have it resting in the gap between the thumb and index finger, with the handle pointing back at you. For added support allow the club to rest on your middle finger as well, the bottom three fingers should curl round almost into a fist:

Now point the thumb upwards and with a push from your index finger send the club around your thumb in an anti-clockwise circle:

At first, just try to get one rotation and catch the club back in the original position. You may find that moving your whole hand round in a small circle assists the motion of the club as it turns. When you feel comfortable with this exercise try to keep the club turning and eventually aim to eliminate the pause as you catch the club between finger and thumb.
